In The Star Online poll, we asked readers what needed to be improved in Klang.
We also asked which were the dirtiest areas in Klang and what could
be done to improve Klang’s dirty town image. Here are some of the
responses:
“My parents are staying in Klang Utama, Jalan Kapar, Klang. The
drains are blocked with rubbish, coffeeshops are dirty, and rubbish is
simply thrown everywhere and why do they allow businesses to operate in
residential area?”
“First of all, Klang town should be free from rampant crime by adding
more CCTV cameras near such areas. Besides that, the local council
should hire people to take action on those who throw rubbish in front of
the notice board.”
“The old town centre covers Shaw Centrepoint to the Hokkien Association.
“There are no parks in the town centre, which makes Klang soulless.
There are too many abandoned projects including the long-standing
structure in Bandar Baru. Little India, too. The traffic flow generally
needs to be improved.
“Teluk Gadong near the KTM station should be gazetted as the landmark of Klang the Garbage Town.”
“Almost all of Klang town needs cleaning."
